Quick start

This guide walks you through creating, editing, and exporting your first project on Wondercraft.
Create a new project
You can start a new project in two ways:
With Wonda (AI-assisted):
From the homepage, select Video project or Audio project.
Type a prompt describing what you want to create - for example, "Create a 2-minute podcast about productivity tips with two speakers." The prompt can be as simple or as comprehensive as you want.
Click the send button. Wonda generates a script, selects voices, and builds an initial production for you.

You can also browse templates from the homepage to start from a pre-made format. Click to use it in your production.

From scratch (manual)
Click Create from scratch on the homepage, or go to My Projects in the left sidebar and click + New in the top right.
Choose whether to create a video or audio project.
You'll land in the editor with an empty timeline, ready to write your script and add assets manually. If you have a script and want to simply import that, follow the instructions here: 📄 Import and edit own script with one or more speakers

Edit your project
Using Wonda
Click the Wonda icon (purple W) at the top of the left panel to open the AI chat. Describe what you want to change - for example, "Make the intro shorter" or "Add background music." Wonda proposes changes that you can accept or reject before they're applied. See 📄 How to use Wonda for more details.
Editing the script manually
Click any speech clip in the script panel on the right to edit the text directly. You can add, delete, split, or combine clips. For multi-speaker projects, see 📄 Import and edit own script with one or more speakers.
Choosing voices
Click a speaker name to open the voice picker. Browse, preview, and select from Wondercraft's voice library, or create a custom voice. See 📄 Choose the perfect voice for your contentfor guidance.

Generate and add assets
Speech
Switch to Text only view if you're working in a video project. Select a voice for each speaker, then click Generate on individual clips or Generate all/Generate Convo in the top right of the timeline to produce audio for the entire script.
Visuals (video projects only)
Open the various visual tabs in the left panel to add images, video clips, text overlays, or shapes to your timeline. You can also add an avatar from the Avatar tab.
Music and sound effects
Use the Music and SFX tabs in the left panel to browse, preview, and add background music or sound effects. You can also ask Wonda to recommend and add these for you.
Export or share
Click the Share or Export button in the top right corner of the editor.
Audio projects: Download as MP3 or WAV, or publish via RSS feed.
Video projects: Download as MP4.
Share: Generate a public link to share your project externally.
