Change a voice

This article covers how to swap the voice on existing clips - either on specific clips you've selected, all clips using a particular voice, or every clip in your file.

Change the voice on selected clips

Use this when you want to swap the voice on one or a few specific clips without affecting the rest of your project.

  1. Select one or more clips on the timeline. To multi-select, hold Shift and click additional clips.

  2. Under the Voice section, click Change voice and select Selected clip(s).

  3. Browse and choose a new voice from the voice list.

  4. Click Generate to regenerate the audio with the new voice.

Change the voice on all clips using a specific voice

Use this when you want to replace every instance of one voice throughout your project — for example, swapping out a placeholder voice for a final one.

  1. Select any clip that uses the voice you want to replace.

  2. Click Change voice and select All [voice name] clips (e.g. "All Abby clips").

  3. Choose a new voice from the voice list.

  4. Click Generate all to regenerate audio across all affected clips.

Change the voice on all clips in the file

Use this to apply a single voice to your entire project.

  1. Select any speech clip on the timeline.

  2. Click Change voice and select All clips in this file.

  3. Choose the new voice.

  4. Click Generate all to regenerate.

Ask Wonda to change voices

You can ask Wonda to handle voice changes conversationally. For example:

  • "Change all clips to a warm British female voice"

  • "Replace Abby with Dominic on the intro clips"

  • "Make the narrator sound more energetic"

Wonda will apply the changes and regenerate the audio.

Make sure to regenerate audio clips after changing a voice. After selecting a new voice, you need to click Generate or Generate all to hear the change. The audio won't update until you regenerate.

Clicking a voice in the left Voice tab from the left panel adds a new clip. To change an existing clip's voice, always use Change voice.
